on recentcy bias and flames out every year. Medved has been a head coach for 8 seasons now and has 1 prior instance of finishing first or second in conference in the Southern, Mo Valley, and Mountain West Conference. That was 6 years ago at Furman. He has 1 time made the NIT. He has never successfully recruited anyone who would be considered the equivalent of an SEC caliber recruit. I don't know that he has ever beaten an opponent that is equivalent to an average SEC program. Maybe it works out, but that has all the glaring signs of a recipe for disaster.
If Cuonzo and Haith had resumes that screamed mediocrity when we hired them, Medved's resume doesn't come close to comparing to either. Kim Anderson aside, on paper it would easily be the worst hire ever at MU.
