Contrary to the opinion that it's nearly impossible to finish below .500 at Mizzou, it can happen here and other places with basketball histories as good or better than Mizzou. See Louisville and N.C. State this season.
So a bad season or two can happen and you might be more inclined to keep such a coach thinking the good years will return. But if the good years aren't better than an 8-9 seed and no tournament wins, then keeping that coach based on such meager results really lowers your standards.
