Parents have a right to know what is going on in their children's classrooms. If a district is trying to hide what is happening in their classrooms or is intentionally being disingenuous about their curriculum there is a problem in that district. I post all of my lessons and assignments. Of course, I teach math and physics, those are not really the hot-button topics in schools.

But you are partially correct, parents need to realize just how powerful school boards are and take their elections much more seriously.
