before Trump took over, pooty had decided to, one, go as far as he could in taking over Ukraine and two, gradually increase his confrontations with them until we did something overt enough that he would have a reason to truly take over U, figuring he would then get away with it.
Frankly, I'm still not sure he will attack the rest of Ukraine, at least if it appears Joe has the sense, and balls, to finally give the max sanctions he should at this point.
