To suggest Mizzou only played powerhouse teams that year is laughable. Only the beakers, in the Big 8, were ranked in the AP poll at any time during the whole season.

SRS: -7.33 (137th of 185 teams)

SOS: 2.51 (50th of 185)


The year before only 3 Big 8 teams had a winning record, and still only 1 conference win.

SRS: -10.38 (149th of 181 teams)

SOS: 3.62 (33rd of 181)
