in everyone’s top 25 to start the year, maybe everyone’s top 15 perhaps. The D1 poll has them at #11 preseason. Very strange not mentioning them as a tough team on our schedule. Really good team, won the Arizona St regional, gave UCLA all they could handle in the super regional, and return their AA ace Rochard, who is great. They return much of their lineup, including Cameron Fagan, last (I think) of the Fagan sisters. Hit .409 as a freshman last year.
My favorite story (Virginia Tech related) is still when you told me about a conversation you had with their coach Pete D’Amour, when he was a Mizzou assistant and right hand man and great recruiter for EE, where he said something like “that Bluetiger doesn’t know what he’s talking about”. Haha, that still makes my day when I think about it. And some people think coaches don’t read sports message boards.
