The talent level on this team was pretty low - honestly we went 2-2 in our toss-up games, so 8-5 would have been absolutely maxing out, but getting to a bowl and keeping this thing afloat until more talent arrives was key.
Now we get to see what Drinkwitz does with Horn/Burden and a lot of other talented new guys. It will be interesting to see if a lot of the limitations in our offense are based off our talent or Drink's system. Our WR play has been below average in his two years and I imagine adding Burden instantly changes that and Cooper/Lovett/Hester slide in to better spots for them.
Honestly, there are some weird red flags with Drink though in terms of his playing decisions. He underused Badie last year a bit and then ran him into the ground this year. I think Young showed tonight he should have played more. And I don't think you could watch Cook and not see him as a better fit for this offense than an injured and immobile Bazelak.
