we are on the politics board.

We don't allow politics to run our emotions on a constant basis...and we are curious as to why it hits your emotions so hard.

We are also concerned with the daily interventions on government into our lives in so many ways (and the fact that both current ruling parties continue to want to expand the size and scope of government).

As for what the President said (by your summary below), I think the vast majority of Americans have figured out how they are going to navigate his, so what he says really does not matter that much...beyond whatever new restrictions he wants to add.
