The U.S. is now averaging 1,155 Covid deaths per day, a 57.4 percent jump from the week before CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky said at today’s White House Covid task force briefing.
The nation is also averaging 103,824 cases per day, an 18.5 percent jump from the week before, and hospitalizations have risen 10.5 percent to 6,824 per day, Walensky said.
