as surgical masks work in the OR. Everyone in hospitals wear masks during a pandemic. Why? B/c they work.

Reduction bodily fluid exchange is exactly why we wear them in a public space for Covid. TODAY - I did a quick survey and at Price Chopper in Brookside, 2-1 wore masks. 21-9
