On average 7 more games per season these days.

The number of teams in D1 has almost doubled since 1970. None of the teams that have been moved up are major conference teams. Not that many of them are even considered mid-major.

Colorado St and UTEP were the "lowest" programs we played in 1970. We've already played 5 lower level programs than that this year.

So yeah, it's easier to get about 5 more wins today than it was in the 60's
