The USS Harriet Lane was named after the woman that acted as first Lady for James Buchanan (the only unmarried president). Lane was Buchanan's niece.

There are ships named for congressmen, namely the Carl Vinson and the John Stennis.

Can't think of any named for a vice president. There was a USS Hamlin, but I can't find anything to suggest that was named after Hannibal Hamlin.
