sustain success, and the program was already trending downward. He was really starting to get old and washed up, and the cancer was a major drain on his energy and commitment to the job.

The current lack of passion is due to mediocrity and a series of demoralizing letdowns in both major sports.

Anyway, we'll just have to agree to disagree on this.
