If someone is photographing or taking advantage of a child to create child pornography, that should be a crime. There is a victim.

As for your analogy, possession of stolen goods shouldn't be a crime. Stealing the goods should be. But if I were to buy a ring at a pawn shop, and it was stolen, why should I get in trouble for purchasing something legally?
