He will earn a base salary of $800,000 in 2021. He will be eligible to earn a $200,000 retention bonus on Feb. 15, 2022 and another $200,000 if he is still employed on July 15, 2022. For the 2022 season, his base salary will be $1 million, with another $200,000 paid to him if he is still employed on Dec. 15, 2022. In total, he will be eligible to make $2.4 million over the next two seasons. That represents a slight raise from Walters, who earned a base salary of $900,000.
