65 and over - get vaccinated. Consider booster
50 to 64 - get vaccinated, get booster if you meet criteria (AIDS, Cancer, transplant, etc)
30-49 and any of the following: BMI >30, Smoker (including drugs), autoimmune disease, etc - get vaccinated. See above about booster.
30 - 49 and no risk factors: consider vaccination - benefit probably outweighs risks. See above about booster.
21-29 and the above risks: strongly consider vaccination - benefit likely outweighs risk.
21-29: consider vaccination on a case by case - benefits probably are the same as risk
Under 18: Don't consider vaccination - benefits do not outweigh risk unless you are in a high risk category.
For women of child-bearing potential - consider mRNA vaccine, if available. Avoid JnJ.
The above recommendations are given for the avoidance of severe disease, hospitalization, and/or death. Mild to moderate disease may still occure after vaccination but you will more likely avoid severe disease vs being unvaccinated.
