the truth just because it is very unpleasant or has very bad ramifications for us or our country or the world at large, nor just because conspiracies may be involved.
Conspiracies are actually pretty common in the world. There is a reason that there are laws against conspiracy in the books in all of the states and in the federal statutes and that there are people in prison for conspiracies that they have been involved in. The US has historically been involved in conspiracies and is undoubtedly in many today. Individuals within the government are also undoubtedly involved in conspiracies.
Regarding Covid and the medical community we know that China has wormed its way into heavy influence in the medical communities and research universities around the world. We also know that they were able to twist the WHO's arm into covering up for them regarding Covid. Even the CFR called them out for that:

We also know that Fauci is in a position of power and that he has lied multiple times including in testimony before congress regarding his funding of gain of function research. Multiple doctors and researchers from around the world have publicly stated, and more have privately stated that there is undue pressure to toe the company line regarding covid.
