Odom's situation coming in was not great. Pinkel's recruiting fell of the last year & half. Odom didn't recruit great and had mixed results. He also had bad loses (middle Tenn 16' & Purdue 17' come to mind) and some misses in games he could have won (UGA early in career & UK 2018?). His teams were generally not competitive in early conference games (Auburn 2017 & LSU 2017) and while he finished ok in 2017 he consistently got off to bad starts. His won signature win was at Florida (was there). Great win, but really never got the feeling he was going to be consistent enough to not be on the hot seat.
