Odom took over and scrapped the scheme and associated recruiting philosophy. You could argue we haven't really recovered.

Next thing you know SMS and Middle Tenn are running up and down the field at will on us. We were 5-13 in Odom's first 18 games as HC, getting torched defensively on a regular basis during that time. Things did improve some after that. But not really the DL recruiting or play.
