SEC recruiting rankings per 247sports:
2017: KY #11, MU #13. Behind Ole Miss (#12), better than Vandy.
2018: KY #11, MU #13. Behind Vandy (#12), better than Arky.
2019: KY jelly #11, MU #14. Dead last, behind Vandy my friends!
2020: KY #11, MU #13. Finally ahead of the juggernaut Dores.
2021: MU #10, KY #12. Still double digits.
Assuming rankings are decent predictors of success and good coaching can create only moderate gains, Most Mizzou recruiting classes drew 1 or 2 4-star ranked, zero 5-star. it is reasonable to expect 6 and 6 seasons.
When Mizzou attracts more than one or two 4- or 5-star athletes in a class (I see you 2022!) it’s fair to expect better results.
