mission in Afghanistan was becoming like our missions in South Korea and Europe.
We can argue about the necessity for those missions as well, but that’s a separate issue, in my opinion.
Not a fighting force but an intelligence force and a deterrent to aggression by vermin.
Not sure why a force of 2000 remaining in Afghanistan would have been terrible. We don’t need to fight on their behalf. Screw them and the camels they wrote it on. I don’t give two shlts about Afghanistan. But I fear a huge increase in terrorism in the United States after this fiasco from Biden.
He will of course blame it on Trump, or Millard Fillmore. But the responsibility for more dead Americans will be his. Asstray, El diarrhea and princess Sara will applaud dead Americans, But decent people will grieve.
