How did Wall Street analysts making big bucks underestimate

Missouri’s own Oreilly Automotive so badly? I mean the stock is up like a bazillion percent since the early 90s and earlier, probably putting it in the top 1% of all US stocks over say the lst 25-30 year period. I mean you’d think of it as a pretty basic business model with steady store growth over the years but what I want to understand is how Wall Street underestimated their earnings growth trajectory so badly over the decades. In hindsight any smart analyst should of recognized what a great business model this was and loaded up on the stock personally.
Just curious how so many smart stock gurus and mutual fund managers missed this millionaire maker .

What did the company/‘management do so well for so many years and decades that consistently beat Wall Street projections . Just curious —seems like an easy-to-understand business model stock Warren Buffet would of bought and held years ago
