They would have to vaccinate all of the world's deer, cats, birds etc. in addition to the humans to eradicate this virus.
Of course, even if it were only in humans the CDC has admitted that those who have been vaccinated can still be infected and can still spread the virus.
So herd immunity is a pipe dream... or a propaganda tool.
