The black physician, Dr Eugene Dibble was head of the John Andrew Hospital at the Tuskegee Institute and spearheaded the Tuskegee study in 1932. The study was held at the Tuskegee Institute due to Dibble's persuasion of Dr. Robert Moton, the president of the institute, to hold the experiments at his hospital.
