the weird girl who eats lunch by herself. That's a great argument.

As for this link, this guy does a good job of describing the core difference between Austrian and other schools of economics:

"They reject even the scientific method that mainstream economists use, preferring to use instead a pre-scientific approach that shuns real-world data and is based purely on logical assumptions."

But then he whiffs on why this is bad:

"But this is the very method that thousands of religions use when they argue their opposing beliefs, and the fact that the world has thousands of religions proves the fallibility of this approach."

Religions don't use logic, they use faith. There are many other schools of thought that rely on a priori reasoning, notably Geometry. Is Geometry a religion? Or a pseudo-academic field?

This divergence from schools that employ a "scientific method" should have caused a paradigm shift in the early 1900s, whereby the sciency economists would be the ugly girl eating lunch by herself, unfortunately though, the logical deductions from the a priori reasoning point away from central govt control and central govts and their warchests of stolen property couldn't have that dominating academia.
