But he never seemed to really get the mental part of playing basketball. He was too often a step behind the play on both ends. He seemed to have to think instead of letting natural instincts take over. It never really got much better all four years. That's what was most frustrating to me. He had some really good games and looked like he could be dominant. But he just never took the next step in becoming a really good consistent player. You never knew what he was going to bring and couldn't depend on it. All of that will likely show up even more playing with all NBA possible players.
