We have more than 80% of the country that has already been infected and recovered if the WHO estimates of Infection Fatality Rates and the CDC estimates of Covid deaths are accurate.

If they were only hoping for 50% to 60% effectiveness and 100% of the country was vaccinated they would only have about 50 to 60% effective immunity.

They supposedly had about 95% effectiveness and more than half of the country vaccinated we should be almost at their target even if no one else got vaccinated and no one had any natural immunity.
