Tactics in sports die off all the time, then when somebody is the first or only one to bring it back it can sometimes be used with devastating effect because nobody else is equipped to deal with it.

Kind of like the mid range jumper, as I have been saying for a couple of years.

Or like the 49ers using a power run game a couple of years ago after the entire NFL had gone to spread passing concepts and nobody was prepared to deal with a power run attack.

The same thing could, and I will bet at some point will, happen with a big strong traditional bruiser in the post. I am not saying it will become a league wide trend again, but you will have teams that find that occasional guy that they can put in there and others just don’t have the strength and power to deal with him
