a ventilator. My aunt is alive but on permanent oxygen most likely and now unable to work or really move about. Both were big Trump supporters and obviously unvaccinated.
If you have family/friends who are gullible enough to be susceptible to that nonsense, its not wise to mockingly write them off as backwoods simpleton hicks. You really need to have a hard conversation about things because there are real life and death consequences at stake. Especially because most remaining Trump supporters are exactly the demographic who are most susceptible in terms of health issues, poverty, and overall poor lifestyle.
Such an idiotic and easily preventable tragedy, to succumb to the virus not when we didn't understand how to combat it but after the lockdowns and prevention methods and a vaccine being readily and freely available. We talked to them over the holidays and they gave the same mongoloid mumbo jumbo you read on here about not trusting what was in it and being healthy and unafraid of the virus, and we short sightedly rolled our eyes and uttered under our breaths what idiots and then went back home. Now I have to go back there for a funeral.
Old, foolish, and religious people are the most susceptible to this misinformation. They don't have the capacity and wherewithal to filter between information and nonsense. If you know people like this, and we all do, don't wait until its too late. You patronize those people enough and you end up having to watch their family go to their funeral. Use this story if you have to, but at some point we have to start making decisions on behalf of those too deluded to be able to make informed decisions for themselves.
