constantly try to spin his disappointing past and present as some kind of promising future that never seems to materialize, are the same people who try to convince everyone that Mizzou's basketball program has always been the bottom feeder that it is today, and to expect anything different is silly. They pick irrelevant time periods for sample size or cite how little the AD spends on failed coaches or point to obscure unknown recruits in other programs thinking this somehow bolsters their position, but ignore nearly every very real and obvious thing that is right in front of them.

What causes these people to think this way?
