In football you have to have a top 20 class every year to have a good shot at winning the SEC and to make the playoffs. And really that’s a top 10 class every year. Oregon is the only playoff team that wasn’t top 10 all 4 years to make the playoff.

In basketball you can both win the conference and national championship without top 10 or top 20 classes. It’s obviously easier and preferable to recruit at that level, just not a requirement like it is in football.

And I like what both coaches are doing.
