by the government to hire and retain certain workers. If an organization feels that an employee violates their codes of conduct, then they are free to part ways with them.

Likewise, workers are allowed to *choose* who they work for. An athlete can opt to play for the NCAA, or they can go pro if they don't like the NCAA's terms (mainly, the amateurism requirement). No one's forcing them to play for an NCAA institution, and they are free to quit at any time if they don't like the NCAA's terms of employment.

That's how a free market works. Government regulation is antithetical to free markets.
