Already committed to Pepperdine, 6-foot-9 power forward Jevon Porter of Michael Porter Jr. Elite and Columbia (Mo.) Father Tolton is a three-star prospect who ranks outside of the 2022 top 150.
The next time we update the 2022 ranking, we’re going to have to seriously consider Porter for a move in. The amount of improvement he showed this weekend since the last time I saw him person was eye-popping.

Porter shoots a pretty looking jumper, is a smooth and skilled faceup four man with good athleticism and on the defensive end he’s an excellent shot blocker. He still needs to add more strength, but he has started to fill out. Factor in that oldest brother Michael is becoming a star in the NBA for the Denver Nuggets, next oldest brother Jontay Porter is in the NBA and another brother Coban Porter will be a freshman at Denver next season.
Skill, rapid improvement and genes like that are hard not to take notice of. I’m really looking forward to seeing where Porter is with his game by the end of the summer.
