mRNA exists in EVERY cell. It has for a few billion years. DNA contains instructions for the production of mRNA. The cell then uses mRNA as instructions for creating proteins.

This is necessary for life, as we need proteins to live.

The vaccine has mRNA instructions to create the spike protein. Cells see the mRNA instructions, produce the spike protein, then destroy the mRNA. The vaccine is gone from the body in a couple days.

The immune system sees the spike proteins and build a defense against them.

The mRNA is incapable of modifying the DNA of any cell. mRNA does not have the necessary enzymes to bind with DNA to modify any genes.
