Yes,..I looked briefly at the “controlled” studies. They were not controlled. They were only worn at work, and not elsewhere, so exposures could be all over the place and was not controlled for. They also only evaluated symptoms as a positive case, not a blood test.
Not saying they were bad studies per se, but I would not call them controlled studies. In a control study, you would have a group that wears masks (properly) and one that does not, and you would verify they had equal exposure. You would also use actual tests to test for exposure
