Recruiting is about momentum, we have lost it

When you are a new staff there is excitement and possibility and roster turnover, and almost everyone comes out of the gate with some good recruiting wins (unless they are just a terrible hire). Then ideally you capitalize on that with some on the court success and it builds.

We went the other direction and had terrible on the court seasons following our initial recruiting wins, and the momentum is gone. There is really only two ways to reverse that. Start winning at a high level over a period of time and slowly build back that momentum. Or bring in new assistants with new connections or players attached to them for a quicker momentum shift. We appear to be trying neither approach.
