Yes I would say that. To commit any action that brings pain, suffering or loss to any sentient being is failing at the highest level. One who beats his dog, wife or kids and one whose lack of self-control leads to acts of violence against others - failings of the highest order, but there are those who saw a light in that guilty party and I do not dismiss their loss and suffering.

On 9/12 I thought what in the world did these folks see or feel that the US had done to them to cause them to attack in such a fashion. That is precisely what I thought - and set about to study bin Laden and what was going on there. Such things are rarely so black and white as some think. That's all.
