quite some time, all the others are cycled through the media spotlight pretty quickly.
1. If the victim is a college-aged, attractive, white girl the case will be talked about for months on end.
2. If the assailant is a white male, of any age, and used a gun that can in any way be labeled an 'assault weapon'. Bonus time is awarded is if can be shown that he was angry about something or 'disenfranchised'.
