I’ve done a lot of research on ESG investing, going back 20 years when it was referred to as Socially Responsible investing.
Money goes where it’s best treated and companies that put a concerted effort towards the environment, employees, corporate governance, and the stakeholders of the communities they directly impact, are being rewarded.
Personally, I don’t see how the Georgia - Coke - Delta - MLB debacle, with corporations and MLB literally making a 100% biased political statement relates in any way to ESG objectives.
I could be wrong .. time will tell .. voters will vote ..and consumers will buy (or not). These companies that are making political statements and in effect ostracizing 30-40% of their customer base will face significant challenges. Just like the politicians who will be voted out in due time, CEO’s and Commissioners will also turnover.
