i read one of the complaints and it was kids in a vehicle with airsoft pistols/rifles and Chauvin pulled them over and b/c it looked like they had real guns everyone was put on the ground etc.
one of the kids said he thought he was going to get shot.
point being nothing in the complaint even alleged misconduct. 17 complaints in 19 years is probably about average if he spent his whole time in patrol and depending in what sort of neighborhood he worked in.
might surprise you but criminals love to file complaints that end up typically being unsubstantiated.
