But I do not see the merit of open carry and if I had a store I would most likely also ban it. In my opinion everyone who carries a firearm should be required to conceal it and disclose it to any law enforcement officer they come into contact with.

Only police should be carrying openly. Citizens who open carry are dumber than a rock and asking to be the first one shot if a mass shooting does break out in their presence.
