Russia DID have a huge natural gas production advantage until a few years ago. Not anymore. They've found out the hard way that an oil and gas based economy is great when demand is up and supply is low but the last few years has been just the opposite. Throw in those hard hitting sanctions and you have a disastrous economy, for the most part.

Makes sense...what Russia made products do you have at your house? Probably not even vodka anymore.
