These numbers are a bit confusing to me

Since we are getting back towards unemployment rates (and even the participation rates) we saw a year ago before this all started, why are the weekly first claims so high? We have been adding back to the monthly job number on a pretty regular basis now. I know they are different reports that are developed separately, but they don't seem to be going together. I would expect us to be around 200-300K with this, not 700K+.
