Blacks make up 12% of the US population but are 39.8% of welfare recipients. (far MORE than their share of the population)

While:
- Hispanics make up 18.5% of the US population and are 15.7% of welfare recipients. (Slightly LESS than their share of the population)

- Whites make up 60% of the US population and are 38.8% of welfare recipients. (Far LESS than their share of the population)

- Asians make up 5.6% of the US population and are 2.4% of welfare recipients. (Far LESS than their share of the population)
