A to point B, and so forth.

There are times I need a drug. Big pharma pushes many drugs people don't need, and instead are harmful, but they make them huge profits. If you want to go down that rabbit hole we can.

The only analog to car manufacturers is they sell people more expensive cars than they need, but they still get them from point A to point B.
