Individuals and definitely not families.

If you are past your very early twenties and trying to support yourself with a minimum wage job, or any age and trying to support a family, you have made a series of very poor life choices.

I have had two minimum wage jobs in my life, both before I was eighteen. I did not even work minimum wage jobs while going to college, by that time I had figured out how to find something better.
