The HONEST answer is, "guns should not be allowed in public places because they are dangerous". Or some equally irrelevant opinion on a tangential matter.
The question, according to the stupids is not actually about the actions or the intentions of the person being asked.
Therefor and "honest" answer should contain opinion about the appropriateness of the the laws, the constitution and righteous indignation about the current state of affairs.
The HONEST answer need not address the issue of whether the person being questioned actually shot and killed joe smith.
