Especially the virologists that were responsible for formulating the national strategy, including Fauci and Birx.
Fauci said this was not going to be a threat to the US, and he advised Trump of this. Trump shut down travel from key places tot he US despite Fauci saying it was not necessary. Fauci said masks would not be effective, then later he caved and said we should wear masks, even though he knows it won't work. Fauci published a paper 20 years ago about the effectiveness of hydroxychloroquine against coronaviruses, but then refused to accept hydroxychloroquine as a potential treatment.
You can blame Trump all you want. He had a lot of idiots and traitors around him doing all they could to make him look bad.
