school in the 90's without being called a racist. Any attempt at even minor discipline usually was meet with this response.

My favorite incidence was one time a kid told me I was a racist and a girl came into my classroom from the hallway and went off on him. She went off on him for at least a full minute. She told him she had been my student for the past two years and on my volleyball team for four and that I was not a racist and how won't it was too toys accusations like that around. When she finally wound down she calmy apologized for the disruption and went back out. The class was literally sitting there in stunned silence.
