the Jan. 6th "insurrection" to take place with serious consequences? Maybe that's why she didn't request national guard protection. She knew all hell would break lose and Trump and his followers (not just the radical ones) would be blamed and vilified as a result. It would give the Dems the excuse they needed to crack down on dissent and impeach Trump, hopefully either eliminating or reducing his chances of re-election in the future.
